Terms & conditions

These are the Terms and Conditions that will apply to your booking one of our retreats. Please read them carefully.

These Terms shall constitute the entire agreement between Remedi Retreats, UK, and the Client relating to the subject matter herein, and shall constitute a binding agreement. There is no verbal or written; representation, warranty, prior agreement, or description of services, other than as expressed herein.

The contract and booking are made with, and services will be provided by Remedi Retreats. By booking a retreat, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions that govern the relationship, the cancellation policy and limitations of liability. These Terms and Conditions affect your rights and designate the governing law and forum for the resolution of any and all disputes.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

All persons wishing to make a booking have carefully read and understand the Terms and Conditions that follow. By making a booking with Remedi Retreats, you accept on behalf of yourself and all those named on the booking, to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

  • All retreat prices shown are per person and are quoted and payable in GBP.

  • Remedi Retreats is not responsible for any fees incurred due to currency exchange or fees charged by your credit card/bank for processing funds in another currency.

  • Upon booking you will be emailed an invoice. Payments are accepted via bank transfer.

  • Travel to and from the retreat is not included in the booking fee.

  • A booking is confirmed only when you have made payment in full, or, you have made the first instalment on one of our published payment plans.

  • Full payment of the retreat must be received before 30 days of the retreat. This includes completion of payment plans.

  • If the final balance is not received before 30 days of the retreat, then your booking cannot be guaranteed and Remedi Retreats reserves the right to cancel your booking.

  • Remedi Retreats ask that you refrain from purchasing non-refundable travel until you receive an email confirmation of your booking.

  • Should a payment fail, we will contact you immediately and you will then have 7 days to complete payment, otherwise your booking will be cancelled.

  • Please note that there are dogs at the accommodation for this retreat. They are well trained and gentle dogs which belong to the chapel hosts. But this retreat may not be suitable if you have allergies or any anxiety around animals.

  • Remedi Retreats will endeavour to follow the published retreat schedule as best as possible. However, on occasion, unforeseen events may mean we have to make slight changes. Remedi Retreats reserve the right to do so.

**Please note that Remedi Retreats only offers retreats and related activities to those 18 years of age and over.

insurance

Most people do not think of needing insurance whilst travelling within the UK, however the unexpected can happen and if you need to cancel your place on our retreat you could risk losing the cost of the retreat. Therefore we advise guests to arrange personal accident/travel insurance to meet your needs.

CANCELATIONS AND TRANSFERS

MORE THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE RETREAT:

If you cancel more than 30 days before the retreat start date, you can transfer your booking to a future retreat, or request a full refund. If you wish to transfer or cancel, please notify us in writing by emailing jodie@remediyogatherapy.co.uk.

LESS THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE RETREAT:

If you need to cancel less than 30 days before the retreat start date there are two options:

Transfer to a future retreat within 1 calendar year.
Transfers will be considered on a discretionary basis and only granted if payment has been received in full. If you are on a payment plan, all instalments will need to be paid in order for a transfer to be granted. Should subsequent instalments fail, your transfer request will be cancelled and you will not be entitled to any refund.

Cancel your booking.
Less than 30 days before the retreat, bookings are non-refundable and payment plans need to be completed. However we understand that unexpected events can arise that can affect your plans and so we will do our best sell your place. If we successfully do so, we can offer you a full refund.

Fees apart from the deposit can be refunded in special circumstances including:

  • Serious injury or illness of the client

  • Serious injury or illness of close family member

In the case of a natural disaster, Remedi Retreats applies to the “act of god” rule and no fees will be reversed.

CANCELLATION BY REMEDI RETREATS

  • In order for our retreats to take place we require a minimum of 6 participants.

  • Remedi Retreats reserves the right to cancel any retreat for any reason, but will not cancel a retreat less than 30 days before the retreat start date except for unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside Remedi Retreats control. When a retreat is cancelled by Remedi Retreats before the retreat start date, for any reason other than the fault of the Client, the Client can either:

  • Transfer their deposit to another retreat taking place within one calendar year, or:

  • Receive a full refund of all monies paid as soon as possible.

  • Remedi Retreats is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that the Client may have incurred as a result of the booking. If the Client is offered a refund but requests an alternate retreat of a higher value than that originally booked, then the Client must pay the difference in price.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The Client must inform Remedi Retreats prior to booking of any medical conditions, pregnancy, disability or any other mental and or physical condition which may affect your experience on retreat. Failure to notify us may result in the Client being refused certain activities during the retreat at the Client’s own expense. Some retreats may be unsuitable for Clients due to age, mobility, disability, pregnancy or physical or mental conditions, please email if you have concerns and we will be happy to give guidance.

It is absolutely vital that you are accurate with your fitness level and medical conditions for your own safety.

Remedi Retreats will do its best to meet special requests including dietary or physical limitations but such requests may not always be possible depending on the retreat.

PHOTOS, VIDEO AND CONTENT CREATION

In the course of participation in a Remedi retreat, photos or video may be taken by participant and Remedi Retreat Hosts. These images may be used in any Remedi Retreat materials, website, all social media platforms (i.e. Instagram), etc. Images from retreat help us to share the retreat experience we offer.

You have the right not to be photographed and/or for your image not to be used in any marketing material whatsoever. If you would prefer not to have your image taken please let us know as soon as possible so we can honour your privacy and wishes.

Otherwise, permission is granted to Remedi Retreats to perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.

DATA PROTECTION

To ensure that retreats run smoothly, Remedi Retreats need to use personal information (such as name, address, special needs, health conditions, dietary requirements etc.) provided by Clients to Remedi Retreats. Remedi Retreats will apply appropriate security measures to protect such personal data and will never pass on your data to a third party.

LIABILITY

Remedi Retreats shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from your participation in the services, events and activities offered on or through this site. We do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or damage whatsoever arising from accessing any of our services.

Remedi Retreats are not liable for any loss or damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the website. Remedi Retreats is not liable for any damages whatsoever resulting from the statements or conduct of any third party or the interruption, suspension or termination of any services, whether such interruption, suspension or termination was justified or not, negligent or intentional, inadvertent or intentional.

Neither Remedi Retreats nor any of its agents makes any warranty, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose, or assumes any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information, apparatus, product, or process disclosed, or represents that its use would not infringe privately owned rights.

COMPLAINTS

Remedi Retreats will do their best to offer a retreat experience as described. Occasionally unforeseen circumstances can occur, or you may feel the retreat did not meet your expectations. Should you have a complaint against Remedi Retreats, please inform Remedi Retreats at the earliest opportunity to allow the grievance to be rectified. Failure to indicate dissatisfaction whilst on retreat will result in the ability to claim compensation from Remedi Retreats being extinguished or at least reduced.
